Part-Time Art Handler

We are seeking a dedicated, safety-conscious, and friendly team player. Additionally, we are looking for a flexible, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, physical stamina, and strong presentation skills, who also has a genuine passion for art.

Job Responsibilies Would Include:

  • Installing artwork at galleries, residential homes, and corporations

  • Installation and de-installation of exhibitions

  • Transporting Artwork

  • Collection Cleaning

  • Unpacking and uncrating received objects

  • Condition reporting and inspection of all artwork

  • Packing objects to be shipped

  • Organizing and helping to maintain art storage

  • Maintaining tool kit and coming prepared with hardware options for every job

  • Maintaining and exhibiting high levels of customer service

  • Carpentry work

  • Taking photos for Social Media during installs

  • Maintaining cleanliness of work vehicles and work space

  • Wearing PAH gear and maintaining a clean and professional appearance ​​​

Apply if you have:

  • At least 3+ years of art handling experience

  • Experience working in a gallery an/or museum

  • Bachelors  Degree+

  • An understanding of mounts, cleating, and hanging hardware systems and their use on various surfaces (i.e., stone, concrete, brick, plaster, wood, etc.) 

  • Carpentry skills and the ability to assist with constructing crates, pedestals, and other potential exhibition displays. 

  • The ability to problem solve and think critically and efficiently

  • Forklift certification is not required, but a plus ​

  • Knowledge of power tools

  • Ability to lift up to 50-80lbs 

  • Confidence in handling delicate objects with care

  • Valid/Clean driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Great communication skills ​​
